WE WANT YOUR MUSIC...
MUSIC SAMPLES FOR FILM, TV AND NON BROADCAST
We are always looking for original music for Spool interactive projects and short films and are sometimes approached by directors and producers for composers to work on projects/feature films.
As Confetti have a selection of talented students, tutors, managers and teams (or even friends of all those listed), this could lead to some real opportunities which really connect education with industry.
We will always try and pay a fee and even if sometimes relatively small, it can lead to bigger and better things.

· All genres
· Anything and everything

Please leave a CD for Mary/Penny, Spool Post at reception.
If you need any further information please see me, Kelly!

KEY SKILLS CANDIDATES
By now you should have received a letter in the post and/or by your tutor informing you of your upcoming exam dates. Please be reminded that you will be fined by Castle College if you miss your exam so make note of the date in your diary or mobile phone. Your revision sessions are compulsory and you will not be entered for a re-sit if you fail to attend these sessions. The sessions are designed to give you the invaluable advice and skills you need if you are to pass your exams in February. The Confetti Skills team will be supplying you with additional resources to help you prepare and we encourage you to start practicing online as soon as possible (www.keyskills4u.com). Please contact the Confetti Skills Team if you have any questions and we wish you the best of luck!

WHERE IN THE WORLD IS THE LRC?
In order to allow lectures to temporarily take place on the ground floor of Beck Street (S020), from this week, Academic Support sessions will be held in the newly designed lower ground space of the Beck Street building. Just continue down the stairs past the library, through the doors and down one final flight of stairs to find the current LRC location. This cosy room can be used as a quiet reading space, a facility to complete written assessments and research in and of course the support from the Skills Team during the timetabled Academic Support timeslots will continue as normal. Thank you for your patience while the final refurbishments are being completed and we look forward to moving back in to S020 as soon as possible after half term.

FREE GYM TRIAL
Confetti students are entitled to a free trial gym session at Liberty gym in Sneinton, (7-9 Gedling St, Nottingham, NG1 1DS). Students need to produce their student card and a flyer which you can get from Anthony Wynne in the skills team.

PRINCIPLES OF CONDUCT AT CONFETTI
There are 4 simple rules that make up the general principles:
(1) Be Here
Regular attendance is a key factor in your success. If you miss classes, you will be missing important parts of your course, which we design carefully to cover everything you
need to know.
(2) In Time
Making sure that you are punctual for classes helps each class to run smoothly and more importantly shows respect for your classmates. The late slip system is designed
to remind you how important this is.
(3)Stay on Track
Making sure that you hand in all coursework to the specified deadline means that you will be able to learn things in
the right order and to make sure that the course does not become too much for you.
(4)Be Professional
Good behaviour helps classes to run smoothly and shows respect for your classmates. Professional attitude and
behaviour are key requirements for any work in industry and we intend that all students with a qualification gained at Confetti can demonstrate this vital quality.
